Hunt Interior Decorator in Kansas City MO: Historic Charm Meets Vintage Soul
As an experienced interior decorator Kansas City MO homeowners trust, we specialize in styling the city's rich architectural housing stock—from 1920s Brookside Tudors and Midtown shirtwaists to Hyde Park colonnades and Waldo bungalows.
Kansas City homes are defined by their deep woodwork, tall baseboards, plaster mouldings, and architectural integrity. Rather than stripping away history with sterile gray trends, we curate one-of-a-kind vintage and antique furniture that feels naturally rooted in your home's heritage.
Decorating Kansas City's Most Beloved Neighborhoods
Every Kansas City enclave possesses its own distinct architectural rhythm and personality. Here is how we tailor our decorating approach across the city.
Brookside Tudor & Colonial Decorating
Brookside is celebrated for its 1920s Tudor revivals, brick colonials, and storybook stone cottages. These homes feature steep rooflines, arched entryways, and intricate fireplace mantels.
We balance Brookside's intimate floor plans by sourcing scaled vintage furniture—such as mid-century Danish credenzas, vintage Oushak rugs, and tailored armchairs—that provide generous seating without blocking visual sightlines or natural light.
Waldo Craftsman Bungalows & Cottages
Waldo's classic 1920s to 1940s craftsman bungalows and post-war cottages have endless charm but often present compact room proportions. Homeowners want warmth and functional flow without clutter.
Our room styling in Waldo centers on multitasking vintage storage pieces, rich earthy color palettes, handmade ceramic lighting, and layered wool textiles that make smaller spaces feel deeply inviting.
Crestwood Character Homes & English Cottages
Nestled along the Trolley Track Trail, Crestwood's historic residences boast timeless European flair, leaded glass accents, and lush garden surroundings.
We curate antique French brass accents, botanically dyed linen upholstery, and patinated walnut dining sets that bridge the transition between classic architectural beauty and effortless modern living.
Hyde Park Victorian & Colonnade Estates
Midtown's historic Hyde Park features magnificent Queen Anne Victorians, imposing American Foursquares, and stately colonnade apartment residences with soaring 10-foot ceilings and heavy wood millwork.
We anchor these expansive rooms with large-scale vintage rugs, moody paint palettes, antique oil portraits, and velvet occasional seating that honor the grand historical scale of Midtown Kansas City.
Country Club Plaza Historic Apartments & Condos
The Country Club Plaza corridor offers iconic Spanish revival architecture, terra cotta details, and historic cooperative apartments. Decorating these spaces requires thoughtful acoustic dampening and furniture that celebrates arched doorways and ironwork balconies.
We source authentic vintage travertine tables, sculptural floor lamps, and layered textiles that create a warm, editorial oasis just steps from the city's cultural center.

Interior design in Missouri typically pertains to structural renovations, architectural blueprints, and demolition permits. As interior decorators, we specialize in furnishing, spatial layout, vintage sourcing, lighting, rugs, and room styling—transforming your home without messy construction.
